Der Felsenkeller wirkt von außen eher unscheinbar, aber dieser Schein trügt gewaltig.
Der Keller wurde 1853 erbaut um in Reiste gebrautes Bier zu kühlen. Allerdings wurde er zu diesem Zweck auch nach 22 Jahren 1875 nicht mehr genutzt und stand leer. Doch im 2. Weltkrieg diente er als Luftschutzbunker.Schließlich fand der historische Gewölbekeller den Weg in die Hände des Reister Verkehrsvereins, welcher sich um die Instandhaltung kümmert. Es ist möglich, den historischen Keller zu besichtigen und wir können es ihnen auch nur empfehlen. Er bietet nicht nur in heißen Sommertagen die Möglichkeit ein bisschen abzukühlen.Die Besichtigung ist auf Anfrage beim SGV, Abteilung Reiste, möglich.
