Die Höhle ist Teil der sogenannten Bocksteinfundstellen, die aus mehreren Fundplätzen und Höhlen besteht. Man findet sie ca. 4 km nordwestlich von Rammingen in einem Felssporn ca. 12 m über dem Tal. Ein steiler Weg nach oben erfordert gutes Schuhwerk. Der Eingang zur Bocksteinhöhle liegt unterhalb einer Schutzhütte. Die Höhle hat eine Eingangsbreite von 7 m und eine Länge von 16 m. Rechts von der Bocksteinhöhle liegt das Bocksteinloch, dessen Vorplatz als Bocksteinschmiede bezeichnet wird.
