Die Dormitio Abtei ist eine Benediktinerabtei auf dem Berg Zion in Israels Hauptstadt Jerusalem. Markant ragen der Glockenturm und die bleigedeckten Kuppeln hinauf und prägen die Skyline der Stadt. Alle Mönche legen ihre Professur auf die Dormitio ab – unabhängig von ihrem Lebens- und Einsatzort. Abteikirche ist die Dormitio Basilika. Dort sitzt auch der Abt als der Obere aller Gemeinschaften in Jerusalem, Tabgha und Hildesheim.
