Malebný zámek na Jihlavsku v Třešti patří Akademii věd. Je velice oblíbený u svatebčanů, pro konference a také se tam dá ubytovat. Od listopadu 2018 prochází rekonstrukcí a je uzavřen. Předpokládaný termín otevření je podzim 2020.
Původní tvrz stávala v Třešti nedaleko Telče v polovině 14. století. Patřila tenkrát Závišovi z Třeště. Postupem času se z ní stal zámek, kde se usadil rod Šternberků. Významným byl ovšem rod pánů z Vrchovišť z doby posledních Přemyslovců. Měli totiž ve znaku bílého jednorožce na modrém poli. Jejich zástupce Václav Vencelík vlastnil ještě hrad v Žirovnici. Také přestavby v nejrůznějších slozích se dotkly i Třeště – od gotiky, přes renesanci až po baroko. Po roce 1945 bylo v zámku umístěno městské muzeum.
Od roku 1984 je zámek i s přilehlým parkem majetkem Akademii věd České republiky. Po deseti letech náročné rekonstrukce byl v roce 1994 předán k užívání jako konferenční centrum. Návštěvníkům tu nabízí ubytování, wellness, svatby nebo oslavy.
