Errichtet wurde das Haus 1929/30 als Jagd- und Landsitz von der Berliner Bankiersfamilie Biber durch den Architekten Paul Schultze-Naumburg. Nach seiner Flucht in die Schweiz 1935 musste Biber das Haus 1939 an Nazisympathisanten zwangsverkaufen.

Nach Kriegsende wurden benachbarte Baracken als Notunterkünfte für die befreiten KZ-Häftlinge und Flüchtlinge genutzt. Von 1947 bis 1990 war es ein Kinder-Kurheim. Inzwischen wird das Haus seit 1992 als Bildungs- und Begegnungsstätte des Lebenshilfe Landesverbandes Brandenburg e.V. für Menschen mit geistiger Behinderung genutzt. Eine Besichtigung ist nach Rücksprache möglich.
