The Town Hall of Ansião, known as “Paços do Concelho”, functions in the former palace of the third Earl of Ericeira, Luís de Meneses, Lord of Ansião.

The Town Hall of Ansião, known as “Paços do Concelho” is the former palace of the third Earl of Ericeira, Luís de Meneses, who became Lord of Ansião due to his outstanding role during the War of Restoration.The Noble Hall, with its balconies facing the central square, stands out as the noble area where solemn sessions take place. The photographs of all the Mayors of Ansião, as well as presidents of the Town Assembly, who served after the 25th April 1974 revolution, are displayed in this hall since May 2019.From all the distinguished personalities in the fields such as Law, Arts and Fine Arts, Ansião has been the cradle and place of residence of, two stand out and have their portraits displayed: Pascoal José de Mello and António José da Silva. There is also a bust representing the Republic in the same room.
