Die Schlossmauern erzählen aus über 1.000 Jahren Geschichte: von Kaisern, Königen und Fürsten, aber auch denen, die für ihr Wohl zu sorgen hatten.

Wer ihnen auf die Spur kommen möchte, entdeckt die imposanten Kreuzgewölbe der Kapelle, das Fürstenhaus, die Schwarzküche mit riesigem Herd und funktionstüchtigem Schornstein, die gewaltigen Türme, in denen sich Verliese und Folterkammer verbergen, die „Prinzen-Graffitis“ oder die Baugeschichte der Hauptmannsstube.

Nicht verpassen sollte man Schloss- und Erlebnisführungen wie „Drauf geschissen“ und „Vom Keller bis zum Boden“ oder auch die Ferienangebote für Kinder und noch viele weitere spannende Veranstaltungen, die regelmäßig stattfinden.
