Das Schloss ist das Wahrzeichen von Jößnitz vor den Toren der Stadt Plauen. Der Überlieferung nach soll die ehemalige Ritterburg um das Jahr 1300 entstanden sein.
Genau betrachtet ist es der kleine Rest des ehemaligen Schlosses, welches 1860 abgerissen wurde. Es ist ein regional-geschichtlich bedeutendes Denkmal in idyllischer Lage mit einem romantischen Aussichtspunkt auf das Vogtland. Unterhalb des Schlosses befindet sich ein kleiner Schlosspark mit Teich und Springbrunnen, der zum Verweilen einlädt.
Aktuell können die Innenräume des Schlosses nicht besichtigt werden.
Public transport
