Um 1250 wurde das Schloss Braunsbach in der gleichnamigen Stadt im Landkreis Schwäbisch Hall von den Rittern von Braunsbach erbaut. Sie konzipierten es allerdings zunächst als Burg, welche dann später, Mitte des 16. Jahrhunderts zum Schloss umgebaut wurde. Rund 13 Jahre nach dem Bau der Burg gab es die erste urkundliche Erwähnung. Als die Ritter von Braunsbach dort ca. 100 Jahre lang die Herrschaft hatten, starben sie aus und weitere adelige Familien fanden nacheinander im Schloss eine Heimat. Der letzte Wechsel ging an die Herren von Crailsheim. Das Schloss ist heute im Privatbesitz.

Deshalb kann die Anlage in Braunsbach nur von außen besichtigt werden - hat aber mit der Toranlage, die von einer Ringmauer umgeben ist und einem Rundturm, welcher den West- und Südflügel verbindet einige Besonderheiten zu bieten.
