Stadt Grimma in der LEIPZIG REGION
Um 1700 ist es Eigentum des Oberhofjagdmeisters und Ältestenministers am Hofe Augusts des Starken, Wolf Dietrich von Erdmannsdorff. Der Oberamtshauptmann förderte auf ungewöhnliche Weise Handel und Gewerbe im Ort und schuf herausragende Denkmäler. Er blieb kinderlos. Sein Neffe Friedrich Wilhelm von Erdmannsdorff verbrachte seine Jugend auf dem Rittergut.
Der berühmte Nachfahre war als Baumeister tätig und gilt als Begründer des deutschen Klassizismus. Seine bekanntesten Schöpfungen sind die Schloss- und Parkanlagen in Dessau und Wörlitz. Am Rittergut skizzierte er die ersten Gartenreichentwürfe.
Das Herrenhaus wurde 1871 im Stil der Neorenaissance umgestaltet. In der ehemaligen Stallung befindet sich ein Hofladen.
