Palazzo Eccheli-Baisi
The colour of the green lands in the eighteenth-century country house
Today it is home to the House of the Monte Baldo Local Nature Park, the Fossil Museum and the Botanical Garden of Brentonico. Green is the dominant colour of the palace: the Eccheli di Pilcante, the builders and the first inhabitants of the palace, in fact managed the green land mines of Dosso and Aviana (Loc.Planeti), received in concession from Venice. The earths were used in the past as a dye for fabrics and as a pigment for oil colours. Farmacia Maturi, permanent exhibition: named after its founder Luigi Maturi (1889-2007), a fine example of rural pharmacy of the early twentieth century, transferred from the original Condino headquarters to Palazzo Eccheli-Baisi in Brentonico in 2009, courtesy of his daughters Annamaria and Giovanna Maturi and in agreement with the Provincial Order of Pharmacists of Trento.
