The castle complex, called "Little Schönbrunn" or "Bohemian Versailles", enchants visitors with its unique rococo architecture.
Nové Hrady u Skutče Castle, also called "Little Schönbrunn" or "Czech Versailles", is a unique rococo building built in 1774-1777. Its grounds include an entrance gate, a French garden, administrative buildings, a granary and an English park with a sandstone Stations of the Cross leading to the remains of the original Gothic castle. After restitution, the castle was purchased by the current owners, Peter and Magda Kučera, who have carried out extensive renovation and modernisation of this architectural gem.
