The New Rechberghausen Castle, once the aristocratic seat of the Rechberg family, now serves as the town hall. It was built in 1721 on the remains of an older castle.
Today, the New Castle is the center of the municipal administration and a symbol of Rechberghausen's eventful history. The interior was completely renovated in 2003: High-quality, modern materials blend harmoniously with the exposed historical substance and emphasize the architectural history of the building. In the center of the castle is the castle stage with the original roof beams, which serves as a representative council chamber and stylish wedding room. This successful symbiosis of old and new makes the castle an important cultural monument and administrative seat that bears witness to the eventful history of Rechberghausen and transfers the charm of the old aristocratic building into the present.
