300 Jahre Kultur und Geschichte.
Es ist schon einmalig, wie das Neue Schloss Meersburg über dem Bodensee thront – mit schier grenzenloser Sicht über eine der reizvollsten Landschaften Europas. Bereits die Fürstbischöfe von Konstanz wussten diesen Ort mit dem schönsten Blick über den See bis hin zum Säntis zu schätzen und zu genießen. Im 18. Jahrhundert ließen sie das Neue Schloss zur Residenz ausbauen und verpflichteten dafür berühmte Künstler wie Balthasar Neumann oder Giuseppe Appiani. Die prächtige Architektur, phantasievolle Stuckaturen und außergewöhnliche Fresken erinnern an die hö"sche Welt der Barockzeit
Die Belétage mit den Staatsappartements und Privaträumen – das heutige Schlossmuseum – präsentiert auf eindrucksvolle Weise die Wohn- und Lebenskultur der Fürstbischöfe. Hier werden 300 Jahre Geschichte lebendig. Unzählige Originalobjekte zur Jagd, zur Musik, zur Festkultur am Hof und nicht zuletzt zum seinerzeit weithin bekannten Naturalienkabinett, bieten einen authentischen Eindruck.
Spannende Führungen und Audioguides – auch mit speziellen Gruppenangeboten – machen es spürbar, das öffentliche und private Leben der Fürstbischöfe von Konstanz. Darüber hinaus begeistert heute das reiche Veranstaltungsprogramm des Neuen
Schlosses seine zahlreichen Besucher.
