Point de vue exceptionnel sur toute la côte vermeille

Avant la construction du Fort, seule un tour de guet (Torre de la Gardia) existait pour signaliser les invasions Barbaresques ou Normandes. Le Fort a été construit par Charles Quint en 1538 autour de la tour. Cette place forte fut l’élément central du système défensif de la Côte et de Perpignan contre les visées françaises.

Aujourd'hui, c'est un monument privé, il dispose d'un point de vue exceptionnel.
