Explore the majestic ruins of Château de Fleckenstein, a masterpiece carved out of the rock, witness to centuries past (12th-17th centuries) and former home of the Barons of Fleckenstein.

Powerful and impressive, the Fleckenstein castle stretches over a 100-metre long rocky bar at an altitude of 338 metres in the Vosges du Nord Regional Nature Park. Built in the 12th century, the castle was a veritable impregnable fortress. It resisted for four centuries before being destroyed in 1689 by French troops.
