Access on foot: 1 hour 45 minutes round trip; from the Saint-Sébastien Chapel, follow the trail marked with a blue disc.
Warning: Vehicle access to the Schuhwaldplatz parking lot is prohibited until August 31, 2026, due to fire hazards! Access by car: Leave Dambach-la-Ville via the D35 heading north; at Blienschwiller, turn left toward Villé (D203). Before reaching the top of the hill, take the path on the left (GR5) and continue to the Schuhwaldplatz parking lot. From there, it’s a 20-minute walk: follow the red rectangle (GR5). After 100 meters, at a place called “Kaesmarkt,” continue straight ahead; the trail splits—take the left fork.
