Das seit 1845 unter Denkmalschutz stehende königliche Schloss von Blois bietet ein herrliches Panorama der Kunst und Geschichte der Schlösser des Loiretals.

Die vier Flügel, die den Hof umgeben, bilden ein einzigartiges Beispiel für die Entwicklung der französischen Architektur vom 13. bis zum 17. Jahrhundert. Das Gebäude erinnert durch seine Vielfalt an Stilen an das Schicksal von 7 Königen und 10 Königinnen Frankreichs.

Bei der Show „Son et lumière“, die vom 04. April bis zum 27. September 2020 stattfindet, wird das Königliche Schloss von Blois nach Einbruch der Dunkelheit mit tausenden Lichtern geschmückt und die Fassaden der vier Flügel werden zur Bühne für eine schillernde Show. Soundeffekte und Riesenprojektionen erwecken die Geschichte Frankreichs zum Leben. Liebschaften, Dramen und Geheimnisse, die das Leben der Könige und Königinnen Frankreichs durchziehen: Alles wird euch offenbart!
