Castel Restor

Located near Vergonzo, this medieval stronghold fascinates visitors who appreciate the remaining portions of the walls and the 13th-century tower. For some, the state of ruin that characterizes it makes the building even more evocative, compared to other castles that are much better preserved. Occupied and later conquered during the war between Venice and Milan in the 15th century, the castle – now owned by the Municipality of Comano Terme – can always be visited. You can easily reach it by following the SS237 of the Caffaro to Ponte Arche where you take the Provincial Road to Fiavè Bleggio and continuing towards Cares, Comighello and Sesto in the direction of Vergonzo. The car park is a 5-minute walk from the castle.
