Seit 1353, erste urkundliche Erwähnung, erhebt sich die Burg Hohnstein majestätisch auf einem Felssporn im Polenztal. Daher ist sie bis heute ein hervorragender Aussichtspunkt auf die Sandsteinfelsen. Im Burgmuseum kann man sich über verschiedene Aspekte zum Leben auf einer Burg informieren.
