The castle complex of Belasi, located among the apple orchards of the Municipality of Campodenno, has its roots in the distant 13th century.
The high walls that defend the entire perimeter may at first glance clash with the very little strategic position in which Castel Belasi stands, surrounded by a coniferous forest. Built not far from the town of Campodenno, the castle has its origins in the 12th century when it was built for community purposes. Over the course of history, Castel Belasi has passed from the hands of many of the most important noble families of the Val di Non: first from the Belasio, to the Sporo and the Khuen of Termeno then. Permanently abandoned during the second post-war period, the manor has gradually deteriorated over time. The attacks of time, however, fail to scratch the high polygonal tower, built in resistant granite, which still dominates the entire building. To protect the castle stands a double wall, the largest of which was gradually raised starting from the fifteenth century, coinciding with the growth in importance of the entire castle. The central building (16th-17th century) is connected to the mighty keep on the top of which, reachable via a 16th-century spiral staircase, five large windows open up, providing a viewpoint over the entire lower valley.
