Residence of the Bayreuth margraves built in the 18th century in the traditional "Bayreuth Rococo"

Compared to imposing residences like the Würzburger Residenz, the Bayreuth New Palace's style is significantly reduced and seems almost modest. Still, the Bayreuth Palace is one of the major works of German 18th-century architecture. It was not the glorious, overwhelming details that made this building so appealing, but the tenderness, fineness and intimacy of its form. This style, however, established itself and defined the "Bayreuth Rococo "-style.
