This extensive castle complex was built in the 14th century and was mainly used as a hunting ground. It still serves as a summer residence for the British royal family today. In addition to the magnificent ballroom, the extensive gardens are well worth a visit. Balmoral Castle also offers another highlight for art lovers: exhibitions are regularly held here.
