The Aschergraben is an artificial ditch to the south-east of the mining town of Altenberg. Dating back to the 15th century, the ditch was used to supply water for tin processing in the local mining industry.
The Aschergraben is an important (contemporary) testimony to the Erzgebirge/Krusnohori mining region as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
