A few last steps around a bend will take you to the Walenalp barbecue area, where you can enjoy a panoramic view that is second to none.
This place literally invites you to linger and you can marvel at the view far into the lowlands. With a bit of luck, you might spot a few chamois and marmots or a golden eagle flying over the valley.

Accessibility: mountain railroad required, not suitable for baby carriages or wheelchairs
How to get there: Brunni cable car valley station parking lot (subject to charge). From Ristis or Brunnihütte follow the signposted mountain hiking trail "Walenpfad 573" in the direction of Walegg - Bannalp Chrüzhütte.
