The hut is located along the Naapurinvaara nature and culture trail, but you can also reach the hut 'in-and-out', without travelling around the whole 3,5 km trail.
The distance from the starting point to the hut is 1,5 km.
In the summer you can get to the hut by hiking and Nordic walking, in winter by skiing or snowshoeing. The views that open to Vuokatti hill range and Lake Nuasjärvi are breathtaking. The nature here is a particularly lush grove forest and pasture in Kainuu.

The nearest bus stop is at Pohjavaarantie, 1.5 km away from the starting point. Busses that drive route Kajaani-Kuluntalahti-Pohjavaara-Vuokatti and vice versa stop at the bus stop.

The start point of the trail to the hut is the starting point of the the Naapurinvaara nature trail, located next to the Naapurinvaara Elementary School. From Vuokatti you can reach the starting point by driving the Pohjavaarantie road (road number 899) to the west 4 km. Then turn to the right on the road Naapurinvaarantie (Rd nr 9010), drive 1 km. The parking space is on the left side of the road, next to the old milk platform. The distance to the hut is 1,5 kilometers.Parking
