The "Wald" fireplace is a 5-minute walk from the Marbachegg mountain station and is also easily accessible with a baby carriage.
Existing infrastructure:
- 2 fireplaces
- Firewood can be purchased at the Marbachegg mountain station
- WC can be used at the Marbachegg mountain station, approx. 5 minutes' walk away
- Number of seats: 30-40
Reservations are not possible.
Public transport
You can reach Marbach by public transport via Escholzmatt (Bern-Lucerne railroad line). From Escholzmatt, take the post bus to Marbach "Talstation Marbachegg". From the valley station, the cable car takes you up to Marbachegg in approx. 10 minutes.
Directions
The UNESCO Biosphere Entlebuch is located in the heart of Switzerland, centrally between Bern and Lucerne. You can reach Marbach via the main road 10 in the direction of Wiggen and from there to Marbach. From Thun, drive over the Schallenberg to Marbach.
Parking
Free parking is available at the valley station of the Marbachegg cable cars.
