Knapp 100 m östlich vom Berggasthaus Schwammhöhe liegt der Platz am Rande einer Wiese und bietet eine schöne Aussicht auf die Bergkette mit Rauti, Wiggis, Deyenstock usw. und auch einen Teil des Klöntalersees. Hinter der Feuerstelle liegt eine relativ steil abfallende Heuwiese.
