Die Wasserfallbrücke quert den Flem in einem kühnen flachen Bogen, dessen Natursteine durch die vorgespannten unteren Holme des Geländers zusätzlich gegeneinander gedrück werden, was die Tragfähigkeit des Bogens erhöht. Durch diese Massnahme ist das Geländer auch ohne Verschraubung mit den Steinen stabil, was die Bauausführung wesentlich vereinfacht hat.
