Der Innerstestausee wurde von 1963 bis 1966 zur Wasserstandsregulierung, Energieerzeugung und Trinkwassergewinnung gebaut. Der Staudamm ist 32 m hoch und 750 m lang, der See fasst 20 Millionen m³ Wasser.
Segeln, Rudern, Angeln und Schwimmen sind erlaubt.
