The Ickinger Weir is a weir for power generation and divides the Isar into the Isar Canal and the Mühlenkanal.
The Ickingen weir was built in 1924. Here the Isar divides into the Isarkanal and Mühlenkanal.
The weir can be crossed via a small covered bridge, but it is not possible to bring a bicycle, as you first have to walk up a small spiral staircase - so it can be quite crowded.
The Ickinger Weir is also the ideal place to prepare the much longed-for wild herb pesto. You should be able to find all the necessary ingredients in the immediate vicinity. It's best to park your bike before you start looking.
As always, you can find out exactly what you need and how to recognize the plants in your tour guide.
The area around the Ickinger Weir is also a nature reserve. So please be careful and considerate of your environment.
