Birzhevoy Bridge (from 1922 to 1989 - the Builders Bridge) - a drawbridge across the Malaya Neva in St. Petersburg.
The bridge connects Vasilievsky and Petrogradsky islands. The bridge is located between Birzhevaya Square on the Spit of Vasilyevsky Island and Mytninskaya Embankment on the Petrogradskaya Side. On April 6, 1894, the bridge was named Birzhevoy. In October 1918 the bridge was renamed the Builders' Bridge. The name lasted until September 22, 1989, after which the bridge began to be called Birzhevoy again. The bridge consists of five steel welded superstructures. The central span is a two-winged one. The total length of the bridge is 239 m, the width between the railings is 27 m, the width of the roadway is 21 m.
