In Marquinho, a village belonging to the parish of Santiago da Guarda, we can find a 19th century bridge.

Among the attractions of Santiago da Guarda there is a 19th century bridge, in Marquinho, a toponym that draws attention to a place currently divided between two parishes: Ansião and Santiago da Guarda (“marquinho” means small mark, as in a stone mark). This "S"- shaped bridge with parapet is supported on three full arches and is the link between villages, having always been used for the transportation of people, animals and goods.Under the bridge runs the Nabão river, which, as the village saying goes (in rhymes), “… springs in Ansião, runs in winter and dries up in summer”.
