Historical circular route in Albersweiler
Information board "The Albersweiler Canal"
The lock system was part of the diversion of the Queich water into the Albersweiler canal, which was expanded in 1687 on the occasion of the construction of this canal. The length of the hydraulic structure was approximately 7 km from Albersweiler to the unloading basin in the west of the fortress of Landau.
The canal is now protected as a monument zone.
