Walter Bernius Leisure Center in Elmstein
Welcome to our barrier-free leisure facility, which is designed to be accessible and comfortable for all visitors. We are pleased to be able to offer you a variety of amenities to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
Start your visit with stress-free parking in our handicapped-accessible parking lot. From there, you have barrier-free access to the pit-pat facility, the Kneipp basin and a wheelchair-accessible circular trail with five information boards that give you interesting insights into the historical use of the forest.
Enjoy relaxation and recreation on the large sunbathing lawn, also ideal for picnics. Linger on the wooden platform and watch the flowing Speyerbach stream, where the wood used to be drifted into the Rhine as far as Speyer. Play a game of boules or borrow large chess pieces to play a round of chess. You can get the key for the chess pieces from the mini golf kiosk. A ramp leads you there easily so that wheelchair users can also reach all the facilities without any problems.
The small playground and the insect house provide entertainment for young and old. Thanks to barrier-free access, you can use the adjacent disabled toilet in the visitor information center free of charge at any time with a Euro key. Otherwise, the sanitary facilities in the Visitor Information Center can be used free of charge by all visitors during opening hours (Mon. to Fri. from 09:00 to 13:00). We want to make sure that your stay with us is as pleasant as possible.
