Rocks near Münchweiler an der Rodalb.
This is a legendary rock on the Trifelsblickweg of the Gräfensteiner Land. In the past, theories and legends about the origin and use of the depressions visible on it, the so-called "rock basins," have surrounded it. Some even suspected that the rock served as a pagan "sacrificial altar" or refuge and "sacred grove" in pre-Christian times. However, according to the local chronicle of Münchweiler an der Rodalb, written by Werner Dillenkofer, it is now believed that the "rock basins" and grooves should rather be considered as common weathering forms. It is possible that spherical iron deposits were located at those spots in the past, which eventually fell out or were removed. Erosion and weathering have likely led to the curious depressions in the rock over time.

Der erste Teil der Tour wiederum könnte theoretisch bis zum Opferstein mit dem Rollstuhl befahren werden. Allerdings ist der Weg bis dahin aufgrund seiner Ausbauart mit Schotter bzw. als Naturweg nicht einfach zu befahren. Auch gibt es lange Steilstücke, die einen guten Antrieb des Rollstuhls voraussetzen. Nach Starkregenereignissen kann es auch immer wieder dazu kommen, dass Erde, Laub oder Steine in den Wegbereich gespült werden und im Herbst liegt stets Laub, was bei feuchter Witterung zu Rutschgefahr führen kann. In diesen Fällen ist erhöhte Achtsamkeit gefragt. Aus den genannten Gründen wird von uns empfohlen, den Trifelsblickweg - wenn überhaupt - nur mit einem Elektrorollstuhl mit leistungsfähigem Akku zu befahren und eine Begleitperson mitzunehmen. Ab dem Opferstein müsste dann derselbe Weg wieder zurück genommen werden.

Der schöne Weg zum Opferstein ist manchmal schwierig zu gehen und etwas gefährlich. Auch stehen nicht überall Schilder. Man muss dann dem Logo folgen. Daher nehmen Sie immer eine Begleitperson mit, damit Sie sich nicht weh tun oder verlaufen.
