Baján a helyiek és a turisták által egyaránt kedvelt nyári fürdőhely a szabadstrand.
A Sugovicáról elnevezett strand 650 méter hosszú homokos partja egész nyáron várja a fürdőzni vágyókat. A Duna mellékágán nincs sodrás, a part fokozatosan mélyül, így megfelelő vízállás (100-600cm) esetén bárki szabadon igénybe veheti. A fák szegélyezte parton árnyékos részeket is találunk, ahova le lehet telepedni. A családosok számára kialakított külön öltöző, játszótér és fiatalabbaknak szóló, ismeretterjesztő táblák is szolgálják a gyerekekkel érkezőket. A sportolni vágyók kajakot, kenut vagy akár vízibiciklit is kölcsönözhetnek.
A szabadstrand közelében, a part mentén több büfét is találunk.

- A helyi buszról a Baja, Piac tér megállóban érdemes leszállni.

- A buszmegállóból nyugati irányba indulunk a Bajcsy-Zsilinszky úton, majd az első lehetőségnél, az árvízi emlékműnél jobbra térünk a Sugovica partjára, ami a S jelzésen a szabadstrandhoz vezet (200 m, szintemelkedés nélkül).

- Az árvízi emlékmű mellett kialakított parkolóban célszerű letenni az autót.
