Balos Bay is one of the most popular seaside resorts on Crete during the high season.
This unique bay is located in the northwest of the Gramvousa Peninsula. Two sandbanks connect the peninsula with the neighboring Tigani Island. Between them is a lagoon with shallow, turquoise waters. Out of season, peace and quiet return to this paradisiacal place. The bay can be reached by sea or by land. The nearest parking place is about 1 km away. For the numerous tourists who visit the bay from April to October, a beach café and some toilets, as well as sunshades and sunbeds are provided during this period.
