Area Maior Beach

Surfers are often attracted by its good waves, especially in the winter months. In fact, Area Maior is an international reference for surfing. In summer, courses for children and beginners are common.

The sandy area is very small at high tide, but its charm is multiplied at low tide. We recommend a walk to the end of the beach and reach the area of Canido, delighting you with this stretch of the Costa da Morte, always with an eye on the Sisargas Islands. Outside of the bathing season, this is also a leisure area for fishing with a rod and line.
