Einen ganz besonderen Reiz vermittelt der 1999 geflutete Olbersdorfer See, gelegen inmitten des Naturparks „Zittauer Gebirge“, mit seinen angrenzenden Wald- und Wiesenflächen und der Kulisse des Zittauer Gebirges im Hintergrund.
Die Besucher erwartet unter anderem ein klares Naturgewässer, ein gepflegter Strandbereich mit einem Kinderspielplatz, Umziehschnecken am Strandbereich, ein FKK-Bereich und ein Hundestrand, ein Abschnitt für Badegäste und für Wasserfahrzeuge.
Für Spiel, Sport und Spaß sorgen zum Beispiel ein Kinderspielplatz am Strand, verschiedene Schaukeln im Gelände, eine 4-Feld-Beach-Volleyballanlage, eine Grillmuschel für circa 25 Personen, ein kleiner, circa 3,5 Kilometer und ein großer etwa 4,5 Kilometer langer Rundweg um den See. Die Besucher können Fahrräder, Ruder- und Tretboote, Sportausrüstung und Kinderfahrzeuge ausleihen, mit dem Boot fahren, wandern, joggen, walken, Fahrradfahren, sich sonnen und erholen.
