Ursprünglich wurden diese vom Fels eingeschlossenen Naturschwimmbecken "Piscinas do Gomes" genannt. Landläufig werden sie inzwischen allerdings nur noch als "Doca do Cavacas" bezeichnet. Der Badekomplex hat auch einen Meerzugang, verfügt über Umkleidekabinen und ist von einem Bademeister überwacht. In der Nähe finden sich auch einige Restaurants und Bars.
