Unter freiem Himmel entstehen Skulpturen aus Garanit, Sandstein und Holz und weiteren Materialien, wie Keramik, Metall und Pigmenten und können hier ganzjährig bestaunt werden.
Diese Skulpturen entstanden während der Bildhauerwerkstätten, welche jedes Jahr im Sommer in Miltitz am ehemaligen Steinbruch stattfinden. Es versammeln sich Künstlerinnen und Künstler aus den benachbarten Regionen Sachsens, Polens und Tschechiens. Während zwei Wochen lassen sie sich bei ihrer Arbeit über die Schulter schauen und geben Auskunft über ihr Schaffen. Auf diese Weise wird Kunst zu einem greifbaren Erlebnis für alle, Jung und Alt. Hautnah kann man miterleben, wie sich eine Bildidee allmählich aus dem Stein oder einem Baumstamm hervorschält, wie Formen sichtbar werden und eindrucksvolle Kunstwerke entstehen.
