Dodekalitten is an unusual and unique monument of impressively huge stone sculptures combined with seasonal music.
The word „Dodekalit“ is Greek and means twelve stones. Accordingly, the work of art consists of 12 stone figures carved out of granite, which are 7 to 9 m high and weigh 25 to 45 tonnes each. The uppermost 2 m of the figures look like heads, all facing the centre of a circle 40 m in diameter. These figures were created by sculptor Thomas Kadziola.
With the beautiful Smölandsfarvand on the horizon, they evoke times gone by, while the music changes constantly. In this way, visitors are taken on a journey through time, while the nature of Lolland provides a beautiful backdrop.
