Der mächtige Stamm der Blasek-Eiche erinnert an die Gründung des Ortes Huginhausen (dem heutigen Wienhausen) durch Kaiser Heinrich III. im Jahr 1052. Die Eiche wurde gestaltet vom aus der Region stammenden Künstler herbert Blasek.

Der Künstler Herbert Blasek ließ 1987 den mächtigen Eichenstamm mit einem Umfang von 4,5 Metern nach Wienhausen bringen und hier, im historischen Ortskern errichten. Blasek schuf in dem Eichenstamm ein Flachrelief, das die Szene zeigt, in dem der Kaiser Heinrich III. im jahr 1052 die Urkunde zur Schenkung des Ortes Huginhausen an den Bischof von Hildesheim übergibt.
