Since 2003, there has been a “giant Fansterbratl” across from the municipal office, which is decorated during both the Christmas and Easter seasons. In 2026, the Easter Fensterbrettl was redesigned and now features Easter bunnies, turned from local wood and lovingly hand-painted.

The windowsill can be viewed at any time. However, it is decorated with particular care during the Easter and Christmas seasons.

Bus Line 190 runs from Stollberg via Zwönitz (Brünlos), Thalheim, and Gornsdorf to Auerbach every hour on weekdays and every two hours on weekends.Directions
Auerbach can be reached via the B95 from Thum or Burkhardtsdorf.Auerbach is located between Chemnitz and Annaberg-Buchholz; take the Stollberg West exit off the A72 highway. From the B95, there are turnoffs leading directly into town.
