This building convinces by the artwork "Courtyard in the Wind", which is located in the inner courtyard and especially by the transparent glass construction.
The technical department of the Munich city administration gained more and more importance from the First World War onwards. In 1997 the construction of the 141.69 million euro building project began. The building is particularly impressive with its typical workshop character and transparent administration, which is favoured above all by the glass facade. The inner courtyard of the Technical City Hall, which is open to the public, is captivating with the artwork "Courtyard in the Wind. There, a disc slowly turns in the courtyard when the wind drives a twelve-meter-high rotor on the top of the tower.
