Bewundern Sie dieses Gebäude der Weserrenaissance aus dem 14. Jahrhundert, das heute als Verwaltungssitz der Stadt genutzt wird.

Der Steinhof, heute ein Verwaltungssitz der Stadt, ist wahrscheinlich im ausgehenden 14. Jahrhundert errichtet worden. 1583 übernahm die Familie Büsing den Steinhof. Auf den Grundmauern des Hauses wurde 1721 ein schlichter Fachwerkbau aufgesetzt. Auffallend ist der Eingang mit der zweiarmigen Treppe. Bekrönt mit einem Giebeldreieck und integriertem Wappen. Über der Tür sind in sandsteinernden Lettern die Namen der Besitzer und die Jahreszahl 1721 zu lesen.

Nachdem Tilemann Büsing Margarete Achtermeier geheiratet hatte, die aus einer wohlhabenden münderschen Familie stammte, errichtete das Ehepaar im Jahre 1596 auf dem benachbarten Grundstück ein weiteres Herrenhaus im Stil der Weserrenaissance – die heutige Sparkasse Weserbergland.
