The Coal Mining Museum is located on the former Saint-Claude colliery. Tours will make you discover how miners used to work in Blanzy-Montceau coalfield and how techniques evolved during the 200 years during when the mines were working. You will discover the lamp room, the mine shaft, a 200 meter-long and fully equipped gallery...

Opening times

Open from 19 September 2026 until the end of October: Saturdays and Sundays by booking only. Exceptional closure from 31 August to 18 September for renovation work.
