In the heart of the village of Urbeis, the miner's house, also known as the day laborer's house, is the last surviving house of this type. This modest building had several levels:
- Basement: a small cellar used as a goat shed;
- First floor: bedroom, kitchen and pigsty;
- Attic: living quarters and hayloft.
Completely renovated in 2002 by the Communauté de Communes and the Association de Sauvegarde de la Maison Alsacienne.
