Sorgenti della Nova

Su questo promontorio si sviluppò un centro proto-urbano ascrivibile all'Età del Bronzo Finale (XII-X sec. a.C.) ed un insediamento medioevale, corrispondente al Castello ed abitato di Castiglione, che appartenne agli Aldobrandeschi ed ai Farnese. La popolazione proto-villanoviana che abitava questo centro presentava forme embrionali di organizzazione, con una distinzione tra ceti egemoni e subalterni. Dopo il X secolo a.C. la vita dell'abitato termina per essere poi ripresa nel Medioevo.

In this promontory was founded a centre dated Bronze Age (XII-X sec. a.C.) and a medieval settlements, owned by Aldobrandeschi e farnese familys. The hinabitants of this centre were organized in a first social system, with differents between differents social status. In the Xth century b.C. life and in this village, and reappear in medieval time.
